Hello class,
We are starting week 3 today and our class is progressing with super good participation levels and active interactions in the course room. I hope you all are enjoying this learning journey just as much as I am. I am proud of you and I want to encourage you to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you again for your active dialogues, interactions and participations in week 2.
In week two you learned how to describe the initiating process group, evaluate project governance, evaluate a project selection model and analyze project portfolio and program management. In week three you will learn how to complete project planning, create a Work Breakdown Structure, organize the project life cycle, and appraise risk treatment. I hope you are enjoying this learning journey and that you will let me know if you have any questions at all. Have a great week in week three!
The required readings for Week 3 are the following:
Learning outcomes for Module 03
Learning outcomes for last week’s Module 02
Content
In Module 3, we examine project planning, charters and scope, and start to look at work breakdown structure. We start by exploring project planning in Chapter 6 of your text, and the project life cycle in Chapter 7. We will also examine the work breakdown structure, Gantt charts, RACI, and finally project risk.
Critical Thinking Assignment
In week 3, your portfolio milestone is due. Choose one of the two assignments to complete this week. Do not do both assignments. Identify your assignment choice in the title of your submission.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions. I wish you all the best in module 03.

With regard to large projects, it is challenging to apply Agile PM. However, a traditional project management approach is less effective than an Agile approach when project scope and technology are not very well known. Explain why this is so.
