Please watch onefilm of your choice from the following listed options:

I want you to watch the film with a critical eye to some of the memory issues being portrayed.

Then, for the Paper, answer the following questions with two to three paragraphs for each point:

1)Using material from the text, lecture (or internet resources), describe your understanding of the memory disorder portrayed in the film. [This asks you to describe what someone with this disorder might really look like.]

2)How is this person’s memory functioning portrayed in the film? How accurate is the portrayal? Are there specific parts that were just “too Hollywood” for your tastes? Did the film-makers do an especially good job on anything in particular?

3)Finally, state your opinion as to how successfully the film presented and addressed the memory issues.

The primary purpose of this assignment is to allow you to practice your critical thinking skills. Most people do not take a course on Cognition and Memory. Many rely on popular press and film to learn about psychological processes. While entertainment is a film makers goal, they are also educating the public. How accurate is this information or how may they be misleading them?

You will not be graded for format. I am most interested in your comparisons and thought processes. If you use resources other than our text or lecture, please provide a reference so that I may look them up. If you put some effort in to this assignment you will receive all 2 points.
