Multiple Perspectives

For this discussion, choose a well-established news source, such as The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, or The Kansas City Star. Choose an article published within the last eight weeks that strikes you as interesting. Read it in its entirety. Also, read through the comments that appear at the end of the story. Ignore obvious trolls (such as ad hominem attacks, name calling, or other attempts to provoke other readers). Identify at least five comments with differing perspectives on the issue(s) discussed. (If you cannot identify at least five different perspectives, select a different article.)

Write down the main point of the original story and the five different perspectives. What did these comments teach you about the issue? Did they change your perspective and, if so, how? Include a link to the article chosen.

For your responses answer the following: What other perspectives on each subject can you identify? Are there other perspectives not addressed in the comments?
