Your progress report will detail the work in progress that you have completed towards your Final Formal Research Proposal, due in week 4 of this course, wherein you will present your idea/solution.This is NOT a progress report on the project/solution itself, as you have not yet proposed the project idea (that is what a proposal is for)! Your report should be 2-3 pages long and follow the format sample in your book on pg 419-421.

Keep in mind the different elements of a progress report that you may need to include. You should include the following:

• Supply a record of the work you have completed thus far;
• Record any problems that may have occurred in your research and work remaining;
• Document your timetable or schedule of completion;
• Document your current research status.
• Here are some sample progress reports you can use as reference. When in doubt, however, look to your text (pages listed above) as the final authority on how to complete this assignment.

Much like your other technical documents, after the report heading, you will need to follow the ABC format. Your report should also contain quantifiable information, be concise and simple, and use highlighting techniques. You must include a graphic element as part of the schedule/timetable – your book shows this infromation using a Gantt Chart.
