You will research, contact necessary agency, and analyze how you can get your product/service to be exported, imported, licensed, merged, etc. in order to expand overseas. (Refer to different strategies that we have learned) Basically, you will actually try to proceed with the international business. (This way, you can learn what needs to be done when it comes to the time of international business in the future.)

The length of paper, it should be between 5-8 pages (double space, following APA style format), excluding cover page, table of contents, reference, and any appendix (if any). The contents of this paper should include but not limited to:

a. Cover page

b. Table of Contents

c. Introduction and description of your fictitious company (Eg: Name, history, mission, goals, values, etc) (about 1-2 pages)

d. Description of your selected product/service (about 1-2 pages)

e. Reason(s) for international expansion (use most current resources to back up your reasoning, including cost effectiveness, etc) (about 1-2 pages)

f. Strategy to be used and why? (Include advantages and disadvantages compared to other strategies, etc) (about 1-2 pages)

g. Process of Expanding Overseas (about 3-7 pages) – Who will be the responsible person/department in your company? – Who to contact overseas (trading company? Alliance? Joint Venture? – How to transport and why? (e.g., which methods, including approximate costs,…) – Which government agency(ies) that you will need to go through? – Any government regulations (e.g: shipping, labeling of package, etc)? – How to set the selling price and why? – If you are to use a facility overseas, how are you going to manage? – What marketing and technological tools use in promoting your product/service?

h. Conclusion (about 1-2 pages)

Please use the above items as a guideline (75% of your grade will be following the OUTLINE, other 25% of your grade will be from any other additional information related to your product/business). You may want to include as much information as you can to conduct an international business. Be creative!!
