I need this paper for a two short essay questions for the Lockheed Martin Scholarship in partnership with our university. The first question is Please describe the impact that receiving this scholarship would have on you. To give you a little info about the scholarship: Lockheed Martin scholarship recipients will potentially get to work directly with Lockheed Martin engineers, scientists, and recruiters through on-campus events and will have an inside track to learn about internships and other opportunities. So, for the first question I was thinking about answering it by talking about how the scholarship would open so many doors for me in terms of networking with people in the industry and the opportunities I would get. As we all know networking is a big and essential part of college to land a job in the future, so I was thinking to emphasize on that to answer the question. My major is Information Systems by the way. After that, I was also thinking about talking how it would really help me financially. The scholarship is merit based as well as financial need based. That’s why I felt that talking about how it would help me financially is important. It would me reduce my financial burden tremendously I would be able to to stay on campus housing therefore, I wouldn’t have to work to pay for off campus housing and focus on studying, which would me ideal for me. Feel free to add anything that you feel would stand and be beneficial.

Second question is: Please describe how you plan to continue your leadership and/or engagement within the CWIT community during the 2019-2020 school year (be as specific as possible). If you will be new to CWIT this fall, how do you plan to get involved with CWIT? (Hint: Check out our website at cwit.umbc.edu to learn more about our programs.) For this question, I want to clarify that CWIT (Center for Women in Technology) is actually a community that I will be apart of this fall. I’m a male but the community allows men to get involved as well. One of the requirements of the scholarship is that the person has to be someone who embodies the core mission of UMBC’s Center for Women in Technology (CWIT) that’s why they asked the question.
