So this paper is intense. Do awesome work and I will add a HUGE tip
I am attaching 5 scholarly sources
need several more
Topic is the affect of higher education on law enforcement, or the need for education in the criminal justice field
The paper must be at least 10 pages (not including the title page, abstract, tables, and references), must incorporate at least 10 sources, and must use APA or ASA format. The paper should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 font, with one inch margins. It should be double-spaced. No spaces should present between paragraphs (You must manually change this setting). Be mindful of basic grammar and spelling errors. Each paper should have a title page. The title page should have a running head with a shortened title, the running head with page numbers in the heading, the name of the paper, the student’s name, the course name and number, and the university’s name. The next page should have the title of the paper centered with the heading “Introduction†underneath. Use APA or ASA formatting for headings, subheadings, and in-text citations as well as for the reference page. Avoid sentence fragments, run-on sentences and contractions. Do not use slang unless you are quoting someone. Need an abstract section as well

The necessary components for the final paper include:
1) Introduction: You MUST include this heading
Introduce the topic. In general, the topic should present a summary of what you are going to discuss in the paper. In the introduction, the student must explain why this topic is important. You may want to argue that it has not been thoroughly studied (exploratory research), that it is a prevalent problem, that it is a financially costly issue, that the issue identifies inequality in the system, or that it is a dangerous issue. Many or all of these explanations may apply to the topic. Remember that any arguments presented must be supported with references. The last sentence of the introduction should be a thesis sentence that summarizes the layout of the paper.
2) Literature Review: You MUST include this heading
This section of the paper should provide a relatively thorough background of important findings on your topic. For instance, has any other research examined these two topics? What did they find? What types of methods, samples were used? What are the limitations of the previous research? Etc. Be thorough, and be sure that any and all research provided is relevant to your argument. You must provide a heading indicating the beginning of your literature review.
4) Data: You MUST include this heading
Where is your data coming from? Will you collect your own? If so, how? Are you using secondary data? Conducting and experiment? What type of data do you have (e.g. survey, secondary, etc.)? What is this survey? How is it collected? Who collects it and why? Provide any other pertinent information that you think is necessary. You must provide a heading indicating the beginning of your critics section.
5) Variables and Methods: You MUST include this heading
What are your variables? How are they operationalized? What statistical method and program are you using (Ex: SPSS, chi-square, cross-tabulations, regression, etc.). What control variables will you use? How are they operationalized? Have you done any recoding? .
1. Research Design/Analytic Plan
a. This section should summarize the methods section and include
i. Your research question/hypothesis ii. A brief summary of how you plan to answer it using research methods 2. Data a. Where is your data coming from?
b. Will you collect your own? If so, how? What are the sampling methods? c. Is it secondary data?
i. If so what is this survey? ii. How is it collected? iii. Who collects it and why? d. Provide any other pertinent information that you think is necessary.
3. Variables in the Study
a. What is your dependent variable? b. What is your independent variable? c. What are your control variables? d. How are they operationalized? e. How are they coded? f. Is there is any missing data (If so, how much)?
4. Data Analysis
a. What statistical program are you using? (e.g. SPSS) b. What statistical analysis are you using and why? (Correlation Matrix or Cross-
Tabulations, Linear or Logistic Regression, etc.)
6) Discussion: You MUST include this heading
This section is where you summarize your research project. Be sure to highlight and summarize the important components of the argument. What are the costs and benefits of doing this research (Cost/Benefit Analysis)? Is this research reliable and valid? What are the major limitations of this research? What policies might we promote to resolve the problem? You must provide a heading indicating the beginning of your Discussion.
7) References: You MUST include this heading
You must include a minimum of 10 references. These references should all be academic sources. Additional sources may be of your choosing. They must, however, be reliable sources. You MAY NOT use Wikipedia. This section is very important. Be sure that EVERY in-text citation is included in the references. Likewise, be sure that if you reference it that you cite the source at least a few times throughout the paper. Remember to follow APA formatting exactly.
Teacher included 2 different outlines for paper
Part I
I. Introduction
a. Brief definition of central research question 1-2 sentences
b. Brief justification of why the question is worthy of inquiry 1 paragraph
c. Background review of literature related to the topic 1 page
II. Theory and Research
a. Theory outlined in simple, precise terms 1â„2 page
b. Outline of specific hypothesis 1â„2 page
III. References
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Part II
IV. Research Design and Methods (lit review)
a. Overall description of the research design 1â„2 page b. Operational definitions of all measurements (variables) 1 page c. Description of sampling design and unit of analysis 1 page
V. Discussion and Conclusion
a. Discussion of Your methods 1â„2 page b. Conclusion of research proposal 1 page c. Limitation of your methods 1 paragraph VI. References
In Part 2, the student should provide an overview of the methodological choices. Describe your method of data collection (survey, experiment, etc.) and explain why you have chosen to use that method. You should need to demonstrate conceptual definitions of measurements (independent, dependent and control variables). Also, you must identify the sampling design and the size of sample. Your citation and references should be in APA (American Psychological Association) format.
