Note that I spike English as second language and not from America

I want you to do 2 things first one it to write one full paragraph, summarize Orwell’s argument and main points regarding the relationship between politics and the English language.

second do the below Writing Exercises & Essays

write 600-700 words In “Politics and the English Language,” George Orwell argues that, “[The English Language] becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts. The point is that the process is reversible. Modern English, especially written English, is full of bad habits which spread by imitation and which can be avoided if one is willing to take the necessary trouble. If one gets rid of these habits one can think more clearly, and to think more clearly is a necessary first step towards political regeneration: so that the fight against bad English is not frivolous and is not the exclusive concern of professional writers.”

In your essay, please consider the ways in which Orwell’s argument are formed as a result of his beliefs about the nature and power of language and do the following:

Consider your relationship to the English language and your understanding of the connection between language and culture.

There is no set or specific way to respond to this part of the prompt, as it is an invitation to you to be critically reflective about the role that language plays in your own life.

You might consider one or more of the following questions:

• How does what you read/write influence the way you think and act? • In what ways has language (and you can interpret this broadly) influenced your life, conditioned your understanding, determined your reality? • How is your facility with (or lack of facility with) language related to your understanding of who you are or who others think you are? • Do you have strong opinions/preferences about what you read/write? What does this suggest about the connection between language and identity? • What role does language play in society?
