Paragraph 1: Different treatments for disease across cultures.I would like to know what leads others to treat certain things the way we do. Do they seek medical attention, do they call a shaman in or do they wait ailments out? I think gaining some more knowledge behind the way other cultures treat disease can give us a better perspective on that culture as well as possibly changing the way we may proceed with treatments.For me when I’m sick I see a Doctor and dont put any thought into this or what they prescribe for for said aliment, but there could be a whole wealth of knowledge for more natural and less invasive options out there. 1. What does the group behavior look like during treatments on an elder in home? (Sociologist) 2. How far back in lineage do certain treatments go? (Anthropologist)

Paragraph 2: I wanted to pick something that I could relate to, personally. I am a huge fan of video games and also happen to be a woman, so I thought looking at something I’m really passionate about would be helpful. I’m actually really excited for this final project – I have my own experiences but in this I can look at others and really connect. In this project I want to explore video games themselves, and see how women have been represented before and where that’s going in the future. In addition, I want to look at video game culture and see how real life women are treated, seen, and represented.1. How has the inclusion and design of female presenting characters in video games changed over time? (anthropology)2. What are the issues surrounding misogyny in video game culture in real life and what’s being done about it? (sociology)
