2. Which mentor text will you be using? What drew you to it?
3. How will your memoir’s plot develop? I need to know:
   • The situation, conflict, climax, resolution, and significance moments of your story.
   • Example:
     • Situation: When I was 8, I had my first major panic attack but we didn’t know what it was. We went through a battery of tests, came up with nothing, and sent home with a clean bill of health.
     • Conflict/Rising Action: For the next ELEVEN YEARS, I had regular panic attacks but never told anyone or let them be seen because they would accuse my of just “making it up” or being a dramatic teenager.
     • Climax: This all came to a head my first year of college, living in the dorms, when my floor RA saw me having a panic attack.
     • Falling Action: She recommended an on campus Dr, who was familiar with panic attacks, who correctly diagnosed them and sent me to a counselor and a dr to learn how to manage.
     • Resolution/Significance: Now, I’m 36 years old, a mental health advocate, and I want to dispel the assumption that panic disorders are just people being dramatic.
