The paper is about the market strategy use for the company to enter the host country. The company Guangzhou Automobile Group Company limited (GAC motors). The country choose is Brazil.From following aspect to analysis the Market, tell the reason why 

1. Product & Marketing

  • Product Adaption —– Marketing Adaption
  • Product Adaption —– Marketing stays the same
  • Product stay the same —– Marketing stays the same
  • Product stays the same —– Marketing Adapts

Choose which one to use, I would like to choose “Product adaption —- Marketing stays the same”, might can from whether  use of gasoline in China and Brazil same or different, the driver’s seat is left and right…….. why choose it 

2. R & D location: might can say there is already many R&D center in other countries, building the new center in Brazil according to the development of GAC in Brazil. 

3. Cultural Differences: the car style Brazil people prefer and so on. 

4. Brands Image:

in host country: mid to high-end brand.

In Brazil: mid-end level car at first, if the market can achieve GAC’s products, can sell all style of cars to Brazil. 

GAC motor is “Top 500 enterprise in the world”, In China, be selected into “National Brand Plan”, and supported by the government……..

5. Push & pull strategy

Pull: directly to consumers 

Push: to directly to resellers 

I think that at first use the push, build JV relationship with Ford motor company. Ford can help GAC sell cars to customers. 

Then use pull, GAC can build it own factory and supply chain to manufacture products. 

6. Exclusive vs Intensive strategy

Exclusive: sell in one channel.

Intensive: market share starts going down, sell in other ways to increase demand. 

Use exclusive at first, then after having stable market in Brazil, can use intensive to increase sales. 

7. Pricing strategy 

whether the equal price as in Chinese market and other market?

Whether the price is accepted by Brazil customers?

8. Competitor

Choose Ford as the Distributor, the reason why

first send cars to distributor, Ford can help GAC to storage cars. Have JV relationship before in China and other countries.
