If you have ever asked a question, wondered why something is as it is, or tried to understand an event, you have engaged in research. For this assignment, you will create the first part of your research paper. You should use the headings below for the sections of your paper.
You will craft the framework of your research using the articles you collected and summarized from Assignment 1 and / or other articles you found that relate to your research topic. Assignments 2, 3, and 4 will all build on each other to create one comprehensive research paper. Each time you submit an assignment, your instructor will provide feedback that you can use moving forward with the other parts of the research paper.

What do reporters, crime scene investigators, and sports broadcasters have in common? All of these occupations are focused on reporting the results from data or information. The final part of your research paper is about the data procedures, reporting, and interpretation of the results of your research topic.
For this assignment, you will create the last part of your research paper. Build on your paper from Assignments 2 and 3, and integrate feedback from your instructor. You should use the headings below for the sections of your paper.

Part 5
Introduction to Academic Research
Choose a topic that is highly debated in the education world such as the use of standardized tests, single-gender classrooms, technology in education, pay for performance of teachers, etc.
Find one article that supports a position and one article that is against that position. Post the links to each of those articles in the discussion board.
Which article do you think is more credible and why? Support your answer with the information you learned from the readings this week and the material in your articles.
Part 6

Part 7
Find one (1) qualitative and one (1) quantitative peer-reviewed article on your research topic. Post both article links to the discussion board and summarize each study’s goal, questions asked, data collection, methodology, and findings.
Part 8
Pretend that you are sitting in front of a panel of Human Resources professionals to answer the following questions which most interviewers typically ask.
For example,
a) Tell me a little bit about you: This is a trick question – do not provide personal information regarding age, marital status, number of children, etc. Only discuss your educational goals and professional work experience.
b) What are some of your strengths? (Make sure to list at least three strengths or qualities or talents or skills and be specific)
c) Tell ONE of your weaknesses. Provide ONLY one. For example, you can say “I am a perfectionist, however, I always complete my work in a timely manner.” OR “Although some people may describe me as introverted, I possess strong listening skills.” Never say anything negative about yourself. This question is simply intended to see if you are humble and teachable and a team player.
d) Where do you see yourself in five years from today? The prospective employer wants to know whether you are a strategic thinker, planner, and problem solver. For example, you can discuss your either your short-term goals (6 months) or long-term goals (1 to 5 years) such as educational goals and career advancement opportunities. You can also mention that you welcome the opportunity to join the company. You can also say that you see yourself growing professionally as a team members with this organization.
Part 9
Start your post off with your research topic and potential research question/problem.
Do a search for one quality article about your topic that would include in your literature review (must be different than the article you posted last week.)
Do a general search for an article about your topic that is nota quality article (try to keep the article within the past year).
Post both links to each article and the citation in APA format but do not note which article is which.
Part 10
I need a copy of your Study Schedule or what I call a “Success plan†to help you get organized by no later than Sunday at midnight to earn your first bonus points. You can either create a calendar and mark what day and what time are you going to sit down to your your homework. Break it down in intervals of 30 minutes to one hour per day. Remember, it takes 30 days to develop a good habit.
