Objective: The purpose of this journal is to reflect on the benefits and challenges of disagreements as it applies to Step Two in the W.I.S.E. Approach to Critical Thinking.

In 250-300 words, explore how using the W.I.S.E approach can help navigate a disagreement. Think about professional disagreements that have come in your career. If you are not yet working in your goal career, feel free to talk with someone in that career and ask about a conflict that has happened. Or, think of a conflict that has arisen at your place of employment. The conflict need not have been resolved successfully! You may have a story of where things went badly.
NOTE—disagreement is to be professionally related, not personality related.

1. What is your speaking style? How comfortable are you in speaking to groups? How comfortable are you speaking to people of authority over you (bosses, etc.)?
2. How can you speak more powerfully so that your words will be received positively by others? Be specific.
3. How might your speaking style help you in health care? How might it cause issues?
