ISOL532 Practical Connection Project

Project Assignment Layout:

This project will test your ability to apply what you have learned in this course, in a practical way, by describing components of your company’s Telecommunications and Network Security protocols and how they might be improved. The Project will be completed in 3 phases with 3 Deliverables that build upon each other. Each Deliverable will consist of a properly constructed (spelling and grammar count) and referenced paper. In-text citations and the Bibliography must use APA formatting. I highly recommend that you use the Built-in features of Microsoft Word (Headings, Styles, Cover Page, Table of Contents, Headers, Footers, References) to construct your paper. To make it easier I have included a MS Word Template that you can download and add to. I also included a video on how to use these built-in features.

Instructions:

Phase 1 Document Name: YourName_ISOL532_Practical_Connection_Phase_1.docx

Mechanics:

• Heading 1 Topic: Educational and Employment History.
• 1 to 3 single spaced pages not counting the Cover page, Table of Contents or Bibliography
• The Word Generated Cover page (or equivalent) has the following information:
  • Your Name
  • Phase #
  • Your Industry
• Font size of Body: 12 point
• Font type: Times New Roman or equivalent
• 1 inch margins: Top/Bottom/Left/Right
• Header: Your Name
• Footer: Page numbers
• At least 2 referenced sources following APA rules
• Upload the Deliverable to the Final Project dropbox.

Content: Each topic below should be a Heading 2 paragraph

• Educational History and Goals, include Certificates
• Employment History and Goals (Do Not Name Your Company you are writing about)

Mechanics (same as Phase 2 with differences highlighted):

• Heading 1 Topic: Recommendations to improve or add to Telecommunications and Network Security Protocols. (As a Security Consultant and based on what you have learned in this course, how would you improve your company’s Telecommunications and Network Security Protocols.
• 1 to 3 single spaced pages, which are added to your Phase 2 Deliverable
• At least 2 additional referenced sources
• Be sure to update your TOC and Bibliography
• Upload the Deliverable to the Final Project dropbox

Content: Each suggested topic below should be a Heading 2 paragraph (You should have at least 6 topics)

Directions:

Using an application such as Microsoft Word, based on your reading and supplemental research please complete the project as outlined above. Each Deliverable is to be uploaded to the Final Project dropbox by the due date (see syllabus). All three Deliverables are to be posted to the same dropbox. You may re-submit a Deliverable if your professor offers the opportunity in the feedback.

Grading:

The Final Project is worth 100 raw points (33, 33 and 34 points respectively for each of the three Deliverables). However, as with other course work the project is weighted. The project is weighted at 30%, which means it is worth 30% of your final grade. Remember Spelling, Grammar and the proper construction of the paper count.

To receive full credit you must satisfy the following criteria:

   2. Mechanics:
      1. Correct file naming convention used?
      2. Correct Heading Levels used
      3. 1 to 3 single spaced pages
      4. The Cover page is present and has correct information
      5. The Table of Contents formatted correctly follows the Cover page
      6. The Body of the paper follows the TOC
      7. vii.The Bibliography is the last page formatted correctly
      8. viii.Correct Font size
      9. Correct Font type
      10. Correct margins
      11. At least 2 APA referenced sources with in-text citations
