international relations theories liberalism theoretical approach 1 000 words recommended

PART I:
Rewrite your interpretation of the issue you chose last week, only this time explain/interpret it through a Liberal framework. You will have to rethink the actor’s purposes, goals, and possibly even their likely actions. You do not have to repeat the introductory paragraph summarizing the overall issue- for part I, you may skip straight to the body.

In the body of your response, identify the major players and explain their interests or preferences in the issue (since this is the Liberalism week, focus more on preferences and possibly even ethical considerations). Consider what other factors matter: Why do they take the stance that they do in the issue? How tightly are they likely to hold onto that position (it usually helps to consider how much it matters to their interests or preferences)? Remember that you are not forming your own opinion in this exercise; you are interpreting as a Liberal would. You do not need to say ‘a Liberal would say/think’; simply write your response as through a Liberal worldview.

In the conclusion, make some sort of prediction about what direction the issue is likely to take, given what you have written.

PLEASE NOTE: PART I SHOULD BE MUCH SHORTER because the intro is already done by you, from last week; YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE A FULL INTRO, BODY, CONCLUSION FOR THIS PART. JUST BODY AND CONCLUSION

PART II:
Choose a different topic and interpret it through a Liberal worldview. As a reminder, here are the suggested topics:

  • Isreal/Palestine conflict OR the issue of Palestinian statehood.
  • North Korea’s pursuit of nuclear weapons (and global resistance or lack thereof, depending on how you look at it)

Again, you may deviate from this list if you wish, but make sure it is an issue you are able to understand and interpret in light of this week’s theoretical approach.

Same rules as the last:
In the opening paragraph, give a very brief overview of the issue (just the basics!).

PART III:
In a few sentences, which did you find more difficult to do, part I or part II? Why do you think this is?

**The entire document should be close to, but NO MORE than 1,000 words. Word document. The document is SINGLE SPACED, and it has been checked for typos, spelling, grammar, and syntax.

Accuracy and thoughtfulness to response is important, how closely you adhered to a Liberal approach, and the organization & clarity of your argument.

* I WLL ATTATCH MY SOURCES TO HELP AND THE BOOK THAT GOES WITH THIS ASSIGNEMNT, ON THE BOOK: INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS THEORY, PLEASE LOOK AT THE INTRO, CHAPTER ONE AND CHAPTER 2 FOR HELP ON WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

BELOW, THIS IS MY INTRO SUMMARY FOR PART ONE: THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE TO REWRITE FROM A LIBERALS POINT OF VIEW WHEN YOU JUMP TO THE BODY AND CONCLUSION, BECAUSE THIS IS JUST THE SUMMARY OF THE TOPIC I HAD CHOSEN WHICH IS: U.S./China trade dispute ( i spoke about the more general ongoing conflict)

Just to give a quick image of the trade war between the United States and China is that in the past one year, these two global economic leaders have undertaken an economic war via imposing tar- iffs on each other that are worth billions of dollars. However, it is almost impossible to mention the trade war between the United States and China without having to mention various actions of President Donald Trump on the same aspect. It is something very clear that the president of the United States of America as accused the Chinese government more than once of practices in a trade that is unfair and theft in terms of intellectual property (Rounsevell 2019). However nego- tiations between the two global economies have been on the table for a while now, but unfortu- nately, no tangible results have been produced to end that war by now. Among the many issues that have derailed progress in the negotiations is how to get the trade tariffs back to sustainable levels and execute such an agreement between these two untrusting parties. However, the truth of the matter is this trade war between China and the United States has had far-reaching negative implications on the two economies and the global economy in general (Lin 2018).

The United States stands on heavy tariffs on Chinese goods and services is designed in such a way to discourage a lot of importation by making imported goods more expensive and in return heavily encouraging consumption of local American goods and services. This is the heart of the trade war between these two economies. As we speak the Trump administration as tariffs im-

posed on Chinese goods that are worth beyond 200 US Dollars and as a result of same China has responded by imposing tariffs to more than 110 US Dollars on goods from the United States. The government of United States placed three phases of tariffs in the last one year only where these three phases resulted to the imposing of approximately 20% of duties on Chinese’s prod- ucts from all lines of products including consumer goods and other manufacturing equipment’s. As a result of that, the Chinese government responded by imposing duties between 5% and 25% on products from the United States and so the war goes on (Silver 2018).
