This week we’ll be dividing our class in half, with those with the first name starting with the letters A – J being the Federalists and those with the first names starting with letters K – Z being Anti-Federalists.

Please use the film assignments this week (especially the Crash Course segment) and Chapter 7 in Give Me Liberty, including the “Agrippa” essay by James Winthrop, for background context. For more Anti-Federalist arguments go to www.usconstitution.net/consttop_faf.html (Links to an external site.). To read James Madison’s important Federalist essays (numbers 10 and 51) go to http://www.constitution.org/fed/federa00.htm (Links to an external site.), which has a complete list of all eighty-five.
