On February 8, 2011 Denis Onieal the Superintendent of the National Fire Academy spoke at the Pennsylvania Fire Sprinkler Rally with the Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute after the fire sprinkler regulations passed. That was three years after residential fire sprinklers were passed by Code Adoption at the ICC hearings. Many States fought the fire sprinkler legislation. It did pass in Pennsylvania and went into effect January 1, 2011. It was repealed later in the State. Listen to the statistics that Superintendent Onieal presents.
This is an interview with Assistant Fire Marshal Ian Hardage. We consider Ian to be a Fire Code expert in the area of code hearings and adoption. He is the person that usually attends all of the hearings and for NorCal FPO’s as well as for Sonoma County. We are lucky to have him in our group.
