essay on social justice 1

Write a minimum 2.5 page essay (minimum 625 words) that summarizes and paraphrases a few of the important ideas related to social justice raised by Charles Robbins and Thomas Carver. The essay will be comprised mostly of summarizing and paraphrasing the ideas you choose to emphasize, but even though the focus of our practice is here to be on the effective use of summary and paraphrase, the overall essay must also have an argument that answers the following question: of the ideas we have read, studied, and discussed in Robbins’ video and Carver’s book–including his “Preface” through page 16–choose one idea from Robbins and two ideas from Carver and explain why these ideas, in your reasoning, are the most important ones we have discussed so far.

Thus, the essay will consist of an argument that states the ideas you have chosen to emphasize from Robbins and Carver and why these are the most important ones we have studied. In addition, the essay will need to summarize and paraphrase those ideas clearly and effectively using appropriate signal verbs, in-text citations, and transitions. The rubric below lists all of the graded elements of this essay assignment.
