For this paper you are required to

(1) choose as your topic a condition or type of behavior that is, was in the past, or could in the future be widely understood as deviant. The condition chosen was alcoholism.

(2) learn all you can about your topic by reviewing the relevant social science literature; and

(3) write an essay that interprets your findings in terms of key concepts discussed in this course. (I already attached my course lecture slides in files, you can choose any key concepts from it.)

(4) Your essay should be 2000-2500 words long, or about 8-10 pages (double spaced, 12-point font).
