This week you will continue on assessing the characterisitics of your learners. One of the concepts that should be considered is that of motivation. Marquis and Huston (2017) define the concept of motivation as the force that influences behavior. Inherent in this concept is the idea of engagement. In a learning environment, knowledge acquisition is a two way street. The facilitator guides the learner, however, the learner must be willing to accept the information that is provided. One of the keys to a successful learning environment is that of engagement. As a facilitator, how will you engage your learners?Motivation is classfied into two categories: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
