Hello Everyone…

I would like to say that I truly enjoyed this statistics course. Professor Evan is the best…. He was always responding to my questions and concerns in a timely manner. As for the students in the course, you guys rock because of the positive feedback that I received this quarter. I would have to say that my most rewarding achievement would have to be the ALEKS weekly expectations. I plan to anticipate the information that I learned from this course to my future courses by following the directions carefully and stay on task with all the material. To the students that are taking this course next term, make sure that you participate in ALEKS because that is the only way that you will pass this course and majority of the material is in ALEKS especially the quizzes.

When the semester started, I felt intimidated because I know math has been a challenge for me throughout my education. Dr. Schwartz’s engagement to ensure each student understood the formulas made this class much more bearable. I have achieved a sense of knowing that through proper explanation and determination, goals are achievable even when they seem difficult. It all about perspective and this course helped me appreciate and understand statistics.

Before taking this course, I dreaded statistical formulas, but now I understand the principles of probability and how I can relate it to my personal and professional life. Examples of probability are all around us, and it can relate to so many situations and decision in life. I planned to review the formulas learned an d see how I can incorporate then into my data gathering for organizational metrics reporting.

What is the best advice could you give students taking MAT300 next term?

One word of advice I would recommend to students taking this course is to have a schedule and take your time to understand ALEKS material covered in the class. Gaining knowledge of statistics is beneficial to forecasting risks that could potentially create vulnerabilities in our business or personal life. Also, have fun and don’t take yourself to seriously. Once I stopped stressing and found the place where I started solving the problems changed my viewpoint.
