There have been many mass murders recently (unfortunately), including one in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018 where 17 people were killed, and one in Florida on June 12, 2016 where 49 people were killed. Also, the October 1, 2017 mass murder in Las Vegas, Nevada that left 58 dead and over 800 injured—it was called the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

Other recent mass murders include one on July 7, 2016 in Dallas, Texas, one on June 17, 2015 in Charleston, South Carolina, one on December 2, 2015 in San Bernardino, California, one on May 23, 2014 in Isla Vista, California, one on September 16, 2013 in Washington, D.C., one on January 20, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado, and one on December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut.
