Are there further questions the writer should have asked about the audience’s needs and expectations before beginning writing?
3. What information will the audience expect the writer to know based on research? Has the writer provided the sort of information the audience will be interested in? Is it ordered in a manner that will key into the reader’s interests?
4. Where can the writer obtain relevant information about his/her topic to meet the audience’s needs? Has the writer gone to the right places to find the relevant information?
5. What kind of editing could the writer have done to improve the style of the document for the reader? Quote a specific piece of the document, link it to a specific issue discussed in this week’s or last week’s reading, and then show how you would revise the passage.
6. Look at the brainstorming the writer performed before completing this document. What might you have done differently during the brainstorming process to better plan the structure and content of the document?
