In writing your paper, it is very important to explain all your concepts to your reader and avoid assuming that your reader is an expert on your topic.

Note regarding your resource, The Many Faces of Research in the 21st Century: You are only asked to read the Introduction because it addresses all the elements to consider and organize in writing an effective scholarly Literature Review Paper; but feel free to look through the chapters of the literature reviews included, as these can serve as prototypes for your own literature research paper/Signature Assignment.

Remember to address any I/O based on the research and draw conclusions to present recommendations to the field accordingly. The findings and implications will mirror the second part of your Signature Assignment in your presentation, as you will elaborate on the gap/problem and implications to educate your audience through either a training or webinar presentation.

For your final paper, examine and report on approximately 15-20 articles of importance in your area of interest. As you are writing, you may find that you still must support some parts of your argument better with more research, or that some research does not really fit with your overall organization and plan. Write a coherent, well-organized paper.

Be sure that your paper contains:

  • An introduction
  • The main body, which is subdivided by topic and subtopic
  • A summary of your findings. Your summary (synthesis) should draw a conclusion (implications) based on your review of the research concerning the problem you focused on within the population you chose.

Length: 15-18 pages, not including title and reference pages

References: Support your assignment with at least 15-20 scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights (yours) relating directly to this topic. Your presentation should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards (slides should have citations where information is used from an outside source and there should be a references slide at the end with full APA citations of all material used in the presentation).
