A mission statement should remain constant since it is a message explaining why the company exist. It may need to be re-evaluated if significant changes are made or if the original purpose of the business changes. However, I feel a vision statement should be re-evaluated every 1-2 years. You would want to ensure that it reflects the advances and changes the company undergoes. I feel businesses are constantly evolving and their mission statement should reflect as such.
