Making an Argument
For this essay, you will need to create a reasoned argument about a challenging issue that is relevant to many people. When you write an argument essay, you are creating a focused presentation of an issue and taking a clear position on it. In order to be effective in your argument, you need to explore the issue through research online, so that you can uncover support and counterarguments. You need to be bold in an argument essay, but remember that you are not writing an opinion piece. An opinion is by its nature not reasonable—in contrast, what you are writing should make your opponent respect you, even if he/she does not agree with you. You are taking into consideration both sides of the issue without any bigotry or falsification.
Your essay must contain the following sections:

Go to heaven with happiness or pain
So far, many countries have passed euthanasia regulations, allowing seriously ill patients to choose euthanasia, such as Victoria (Australia), Switzerland and the Netherlands. Euthanasia is when people are willing to give up treatment and want to solve their lives through medicine. Doctor Yves de Locht said he can only do a maximum of one euthanasia per month. It is because average six people choose to euthanasia there every day since Belgium legal euthanasia in 2002. (Doctor Yves de Locht, nyt). This new prove that when patients are faced with painful treatment, they often choose to die happily, reducing the pain. However, in my view, terminally ill people should have the right to choose to die.
First, life belongs to individuals. Individuals have the right to choose survival. According to the BBC, a doctor named Richard Wesley suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Wesley prefers to die naturally when he knows his condition, but if the death process becomes persistent and painful, he plans to take the euthanasia drug and sleep peacefully in a few minutes. (BBC). It turns out that as a doctor, although he still insists on ending his life in the most natural way. But he also decided that when he was suffering in the process of death, he was willing to choose to euthanasia and die peacefully. He knew how painful for die because he was a doctor.
Second, medical costs are also a concern for patients. Here is the experience I experienced firsthand. Just six months ago, my uncle was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. He is been on medication. Until a month ago, he had a seizure. He vomited blood at least two dozen times and underwent at least five resuscitation attempts in ICU. Since starting treatment, the family has paid more than 1000,000 RMB in medical bills. 1000,000 RMB were paid in just a few months. Also, we can’t predict how many times there will be rescues in the future, and how much it will cost. This is a kind of commitment for the patient’s family. This is an astronomical figure for a person who has only 20,000 income per month. It is very difficult to pay for medical expenses with your own ability. In addition to medical expenses, they also have to pay for their children’s living expenses, tuition fees, family water and electricity bills, and even mortgages. It is very likely that while taking care of the patients, they will also become sick because they are too worried. Thinking from the patient’s point of view, giving birth to a serious illness leads to an increase in the burden on the family. The patient must be very upset. The medical expenses that have been seen until the end is frightening for everyone. Usually, many patients choose to give up their life in order to reduce family’s pressure, reducing his or her pain on the other hand. 例å
On the other hand, Although people can choose to die to give up treatment, but if there is sufficient time and hope, I think people can stick to the end. According to ted talk, Peter Saul states that nowadays, ICU actually can strongly help people to get better. Therefore, Persistence in treatment is the best option, if patients can.
Compared to many painful medications, euthanasia does allow patients to reduce their pain. Of course, if the patient has the courage and persistence, I certainly feel that it is a good thing to work hard to fight against the pathogen. However, I feel that every patient has the right to choose their own life.
