A goal for self-improvement
Since our course will be dealing with many psychological issues that have an impact on our lives, I would like you to take this opportunity to identify an area of your life that you would like to improve upon. Create a goal statement that describes something that you want to change or improve upon in your personal life. Why is this important?
When we make a conscious effort to improve and also make our intentions public, we increase the likelihood that we will take the necessary actions to reach our goals. Later in the course, we will revisit our goal statements to see what progress has been made. I certainly want you to learn the theories and academic content in this course, but I also want you to personally benefit from an opportunity for self-improvement. Over the next 11 weeks, let’s all chisel away some of the imperfections from our perfect lives!
