Directions: On the next pages (see attached), there are three data tables that give some information on groups of stars. Attached, you will find a blank Hertzsprungâ€Russell (HR) plot. Use the data in the data tables to create the HR diagram.
1. Print this document. You should have three data tables..
2. Make a graph, enter the Group 1 stars on the HR plot. Remember that HR diagrams plot
temperature on the x-axis and luminosity on the y-axis. Only plot these values from the data tables. Draw a dot on the plot for each star in Group 1. Draw a circle around all the dots you drew for Group 1 and label it, “Group 1.â€
3. On the same graph, enter the Group 2 stars on the same HR plot. Draw a circle around all the dots you
drew for Group 2 and label it, “Group 2.â€
4. Again, on the same graph, enter the Group 3 stars on the same HR plot. Draw a circle around all the dots you drew for Group 3 and label it, “Group 3.â€
5.Answer the following questions based on the graph:
these groups in terms of their relative age, size, brightness, and temperature.
