A tool called a SWOT (Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) Analysis or Matrix (a/k/a TOWS Analysis/Matrix) is used in completing the examination of the environment. This tool takes the information gleaned from the environmental scan (the internal and external analyses) and puts them into an easy to read and understanding diagram. After the SWOT analysis is complete, the organization moves to identifying strategic priorities and specific strategies to address those priorities. In this assignment, we use the Coastal Medical Center Comprehensive Case Study to conduct the SWOT analysis. You will develop strategic priorities based on the results of your analysis; then, identify potential strategies that could be utilized to address these priorities.

   2. Chapter 4 Strategic Planning and SWOT Analysis
2. Read the article SWOT Analysis: A Theoretical Review.
3. Review the Coastal Medical Center (CMC) Comprehensive Case study in the text.
4. Develop a SWOT matrix for CMC based on the information provided in the case study and your work on Assignment 2.2.
5. Define at least three appropriate strategic priorities for CMC.
6. Identify at least three potential strategies for CMC to achieve each strategic priority.
7. Identify any implementation challenges associated with the potential strategies.
